Hi! I am Cherie.
I have recently entered my 40th decade and I can’t be more excited about that. I live in Michigan with my husband, son, cat (Pip), mini golden doodle (Duke) and tortoise (Blue). I am an avid reader, especially of the classics. I enjoy painting, nature and camping. I love music, vinyl records and old movies. I am a huge Star Wars fan (is there anything more tragic than Anakin Skywalker??). And I have recently learned that I love watching NFL football, which surprises no one more than me.
But most importantly, I am a Christian to the marrow of my bones. I start nearly every day with a good cup of coffee (hazelnut) and by reading the Bible. The topics that I write about in this blog are things that I have wrestled with, cried over and brought to God during the early morning hours of the last 13 years.
I am a former Jehovah’s Witness and so I write for others who have come from similar, legalistic backgrounds. My goal is to share what I have learned in the hopes that it could help even one person to know that there is a God who loves them. And that Jesus, plus nothing, equals salvation.
